Gunner's Dream

My present work published below talks about how any soldier might feel while battlin out there for freedom!!!So read it and enjoy it!!!
-----------------------------------------
Day and night
He had to put up with the fight
Could see the drought of tears in his eyes
Could feel the cries within his silence
Would kill if he really saw his foe
After killing he wouldn feel soo low
Would have more space to dream his dream
He would thus like to come out and make his scream
At somepoint,He might just like to sleep in peace
This is'nt the Gunner's Dream
This is'nt alone the Gunner's Dream

He has seen many children fall down
Has seen many innocent lives go down
He has seen many countires blown down
Is it fair for him to feel soo low down??
He feels so as he moans
Have'nt time for it as next day dawns
Would like to just see his breed
And start a brand new day with many deeds
At somepoint,Might just like to sleep in peace
This is'nt the Gunner's Dream
This is'nt alone the Gunner's Dream

Floyds are always right
When they say this with many wounds
"Floating down through the clouds
Memories comes rushing up to meet him now
But in the space between the heavens
And the corner of some foreign fields
He had a dream
Yeah he had a dream
Goodbye max
Goodbye ma
After service when he is walking slowly to the car
And the silver in her hair shines in cold november air
He hears the tolling bell
And touch the silk in his lapel
And as the tear drops rise to meet the comfort of the band
He takes her frail little hand
And holds on to the dream

A place to stay
Enough to eat
Somewhere old heroes shuffle safely down the street
Where he can speak out loud
About his doubts and fears
And whats more no ever disappears
He never hears their standard issues kicking in his door
He can relax on both sides of the track
And maniacs dont blow holes in bandsman by remote control
And everyone recourse to the law
And no one kills the children anymore
And no one kills the innocent anymore

Night after night
Going round and round about my brain
His dream is driving me insane
In the corner of some foreign field
The Gunner sleeps tonight
Hopin for independance without a fight
Whats done is done
We cannot write off this final scene
Take heed of the dream
Take heed of the dream"
This is'nt the Gunner's Dream
This is'nt alone the Gunner's Dream
